Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and talk therapy takes us outdoors and gets our bodies moving to add several benefits to traditional therapy. We will process life issues, work through trauma, learn to regulate emotion, or work through any other issues you bring to session with the added benefits of being outdoors. Walking, at any pace, can lift our moods and help us become more in tune with our bodies.

Practicing mindfulness is an important part of learning to regulate emotion, finding contentment, managing anxiety, depression, and so many other issues, but it can be difficult to translate to real world settings when only practiced in an office or virtual session. During a walk and talk session, we can practice real-time mindfulness, focusing on our bodies, nature, and sensory experiences. Just as with any other therapy session, I move at the pace you feel most comfortable with, in our therapy work as well as our walking pace.
